Hi! I’m Anushka, a high school student fascinated by AI and its endless possibilities. I love dabbling in projects, especially ones that make a real-world impact. I’ve worked on projects focused on areas like diabetic retinopathy and Alzheimer’s detection, and some of my work has received recognition at both national and international competitions.

I’ve also had the chance to lead coding and math initiatives, and dive into public healthcare projects. Beyond academics, I started Nrityamangalam, a dance-for-wellness initiative that brings mindfulness and joy through movement. I’m excited about using technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship to take on big challenges and create meaningful impact.

My Projects

Integration of Clinical Data and Deep Learning Models for Predictive Diabetic Retinopathy Diagnosis.

Development of a portable fundus imaging device with integrated machine learning for automated Diabetic Retinopathy detection

Diabetes mellitus and diabetic retinopathy (DR) present significant global public health challenges. Currently, 10.5% of the world's adult population has diabetes, as reported by the International Diabetes Federation. DR is a leading cause of vision impairment and blindness, affecting 30% to 40% of diabetic individuals. A meta-analysis estimates that 103 million people currently suffer from DR, a figure projected to rise to 161 million by 2045. Early detection is crucial, as timely interventions can prevent up to 95% of vision loss cases. Unfortunately, access to affordable healthcare and specialized eye care services is limited in many low- and middle-income countries, where trained ophthalmologists and advanced imaging tools are often concentrated in urban areas.

The Art of Bharatnatyam: Visual Journey

Hello! I’m Anushka, and I’ve been dedicated to learning Bharatnatyam for the past 12 years. I have successfully passed six annual exams through Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, a prestigious classical dance institution, and I’m currently in my final year of the program.

Bharatnatyam holds a special place in my heart as it beautifully reflects our culture and traditions. The expressive movements and storytelling help me stay connected to my roots and deepen my sense of identity.

The discipline and effort required to master this dance form not only enhance my skills but also bring immense personal fulfillment. Each performance is an opportunity to share my love for this art and to connect with others on a spiritual level.
